The True West Brewery, located at 525 Massachusetts Avenue in Acton, Massachusetts, prides itself on combining a commitment to sustainability and a love of great craft beer to create a warm environment where anyone can come to enjoy their quality beverages. Although the name is True West, this brewery is really all Massachusetts — a family-owned and village supported farm-to-table restaurant and craft brewery. The name is based on a Sam Shepard play about two brothers who learn they have a lot more in common than they initially believed.
True West Brewery is a true neighborhood brewery, community supported and welcoming to local farmers, craft brewing aficionados and anyone who appreciates great, natural food and drink.
What’s on Tap?
What kind of delicious craft beers can you enjoy at True West Brewery? You can sample their award winning IPA, Ruckus!, try some classic Brown Bess Brown Ale, or the historic Colonial Gold golden ale.
If you like wheat beer, try True West’s Wheat Didn’t Start the Fire, and if you’re ready for some serious kick, get deep into one of their Belgian Tripels, The Happy Abbot or The Enlightened Abbot. All of these beers and more are hand-crafted at True West’s 10 bbl brewhouse right behind the bar, overseen by head brewer Russell Carpenter.
Make Sure to Catch…
…a meal or a snack at True West Brewing Company from their locally-sourced, scratch kitchen. This brewhouse is all about sustainability and community. They use farm-fresh ingredients produced by local farmers and fishermen, make their own ketchup, dressings and breads, and they use solar power to help keep everything humming. There’s even a gluten-free menu.
Some of the True West Brewery’s tasty seasonal offerings include crispy bacon Brussels sprouts, a Portobello mushroom burger, a crisp, tender, fried chicken sandwich and baked brie with apple chutney and toast points, which goes great with that Colonial Gold.
Also, don’t forget to stop by the taproom on Mondays for True West Brewing Company’s awesome trivia night competition, “Geeks Who Drink,” modeled after classic UK and Irish pub quizzes.
